Since I finished my LL.M course in Human Rights at the London School of Economics and Political Science, my experience as a Chevening Scholar has enabled me to see the world differently and transform that perception into action to bring about crucial change in the Brazilian society. As a public prosecutor, I am in charge of class actions. I have been able to effectively put into practice the knowledge I had the privilege to acquire in London. Specifically, by dealing with consumer violations from a collective point of view, millions have been granted access to the judicial system who would have otherwise remained outcasts. With the help of extensive media coverage of my professional activity, I have been able to lead a national movement to help empower citzens' rights in post-military rule Brazilian democracy.
