Chevening in Malaysia

Britain has improved the lives of many Malaysians not through football or cricket, but through a more serious initiative.

FEW names apart from Chevening can elicit such a mixed response from Malaysians.

Some call it a house, some call it an award, others mumble that it sounds vaguely British and to the uninitiated, the mere mention of Chevening would probably result in a blank stare.

But what is it, really?
